Graduated from the Ceramics Department of Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music in 1999.

Established the Kurokawa Kanekichi Ceramic Design Institute in 2002.

Together with Yanagi Sori and Kurokawa Masayuki, he has won six awards over ten consecutive years at the JAPAN DESIGN NEW GENERATION Exhibition (France, 2001) and

the International Ceramics Exhibition Mino, including a bronze award in the Design category (1998), a silver award (2002),

a silver award in the Studio Design category (2005), and a gold award in the Factory Design category (2008)
